Cowabunga Bay

So, we finally decided to go to Cowabunga Bay. Everytime we drive through Draper, Michael reminds us how much he wants to go there. We had two half price adult all day passes so we just bought Michael's at the gate. In hindsight, you can easily do the park in just 4 hours. The best time to go is first thing in the morning--we went from 10-2 on Saturday and it didn't get busy until 1 p.m. In the first 1-1/2 hours Jeremy & Michael were able to go down everything in the park 4-5 times. Also, they only have 2-3 adult or teen slides. They all go slower than the one at the Lehi Outdoor Park. Also, the water is COLD and since it's in Draper, it's really cold while you are waiting to go down the slides. 2011 Season Passes are only $59.99 right now so I guess if you could go at least once a week all season next year, it would be a great deal ($5 a week or so). In our personal opinion, Seven Peaks and Raging Waters are better. It is a good park for the 12 and under crowd; free parking is another bonus. There is also a pizza place/activity center across the parking lot (Incredible Pizza Company) and it is right near the VF Factory Outlet.

Michael enjoying his dino chicken nuggets kids meal--it was $6.50 for a 6 piece with fries and a soft drink. We opted to eat outside the park.
