Merry Christmas 2013!

The kids were super excited for Christmas this year. It was extremely surprising (as well as a welcome relief) that Michael didn't come in our room asking to go downstairs until 6:50 a.m. (last year he checked in every 1-2 hours and we went downstairs at 6 a.m.). Jennie wouldn't go to sleep so we woke her up later to open presents (seriously, she wasn't up until 10 a.m. that's how late she stayed awake). Michael got Legos and Playmobils; Kimberlee got a Madame Alexander doll, a puppy and some dolls and horses; and Kaden got ninja turtles and a train. Jennie got a purse and a toy tablet. The kids were really excited that Santa got them Disney Infinity as a family present and Kimberlee wants to be Elsa from Frozen all the time.

We also did some Christmas devotionals throughout the month of December to help us keep Christ in Christmas. The kids enjoyed learning about the symbolism of the gifts the 3 wise men brought Jesus and at our church Christmas party they enjoyed the video about what different people in our congregation would have done if they had been the shepherds, Mary or the innkeeper.
