Ogden Temple Open House

A friend of mine from work gave me her extra tickets to the Ogden temple open house. This is a time where anyone regardless of age or religious background has the opportunity to walk through an LDS temple prior to it being dedicated for religious use. We have not had the chance to attend an open house since the Draper temple (we had tickets to Daybreak but didn't make it up and wanted to go to Brigham City but didn't). It was a neat experience for the kids but even with tickets the line was over an hour to get in. The kids were really patient and good with the wait but after standing in the long line and walking through the temple they were pretty worn out. We ended up nixing lunch and drove straight home. Michael as the oldest had some questions so we were able to talk to him more about the temple and he even wanted to keep one of the shoe covers we wore from the walk through as a reminder of the day. In two weeks we will have the option to attend the dedication of the Ogden temple through broadcast at our local church building.
