Itty Bitty Baseball

After doing Itty Bitty soccer last year, I was a little apprehensive about Michael doing baseball. However, I figured there were two things in our favor: 1) he is older now--when he did soccer, he was barely three and one of the youngest kids there (he just barely turned three right after baseball started last year so he was unable to sign up) and 2) he LOVES baseball A LOT.

Turns out, it was GREAT for him as he turned four the last day of baseball this year. He was the same age as all of the kids and was very involved. His team was the Angels(other teams included the Braves, Dodgers, Cubs, Red Sox and Yankees--I'm glad he wasn't on THAT team). Michael bats left and throws right--there was one other leftie on his team. I was able to take him five times (Uncle Carl came once to watch) and Dad took him the last day of class on his birthday.

It was basically t-ball but with no positions and everyone hitting homeruns (because, hey, how many 3 and 4 year olds can actually field?). Lots of fun--they got a treat every time, made new friends, and got some exercise. On the last day everyone got a balloon and Lenny the Lion came.
