President's Day Weekend

For President's Day weekend we took a little "staycation" and rented a hotel room using the Marriott friends and family rate (thanks to my pal and former coworker Jared). The kids had a great time enjoying swimming, continental breakfast, cable TV and the adoration of the hotel guests and staff. My brother in law slept over at our house to keep our dogs company in our absence (thanks Calvin!).

View from our hotel window--the twins enjoyed watching all the cars on the freeway.

Our room had two queen beds and a pull out couch--we ended up with every sleeping combo imaginable (Kimberlee would not sleep).

Our room also had a mini kitchenette--we enjoyed hot cocoa and the twins loved opening the fridge constantly to get their drinks in and out.

The infamous pull out couch beloved by the kids.

Daddy making bubbles with mouthwash to entertain the kids.

Swimming in the hotel pool--it was cold but fun. Luckily in the evening the hot tub was open. It was closed for maintenance in the morning.

Everyone hanging out on the pull out sofa bed.

The twins enjoying their continental breakfast (waffles, eggs, sausage, bananas).

Kaden was our biggest breakfast eater by far!

Enjoying a dip in the tub of our hotel bathroom.
