Disneyland Trip Overview

As soon as school got out, we left for California to go to Disneyland with Jeremy's entire family--parents, siblings, nieces and nephews. It was a caravan of 3 vehicles with a stop in Las Vegas on the way down, 3.5 days in the park and driving straight through on the way back (10 hours without breaks but more like 12-13 with stops). This was the twins' first trip. We had originally planned to go in April over Spring Break but waited until everyone else could go too.

I created a photo book on Shutterfly. Here it is:

We also told the kids we will never drive straight through and we will not be taking anyone again until Jennie is at least 8 (it's too hard with two strollers and all the bathroom breaks, etc.). There are pluses and minuses to large groups. It was helpful for trading off since 3 out of 4 of our kids were limited as to what they could ride. The flipside is your ride itinerary and day schedule is often dictated by others--which can be good or bad.We didn't make it to Toon Town at all due to time constraints which was unfortunate because they didn't get to see Mickey or Minnie plus Kimberlee didn't get pics with two her favorite princesses-- Merida (Brave) and Tinkerbell. Other than that we basically got everything in including our tradition of doing a caricature.
